My wife, Kristin and I, have lived in Hastings since 1981. This is when I joined the law firm of Conway and Connolly. Kristin and I have been married since 1978 and we have three children: Bryan, a banker in Littleton, Co., who has given us two wonderful granddaughters; Scott, an attorney in our law office; and Lauran, who has degrees in journalism, political science and law. She currently works in Washington D.C.
I enjoy the practice of law immensely. It gives me great satisfaction to know that I am helping people during some of their darkest hours, whether they have been hurt, or lost a loved one. When I am not practicing law, Kris and I enjoy playing tennis, doing yard work, enjoying our friends in Hastings, and getting away to Estes Park to enjoy the Rocky Mountains and see our son, Bryan, and his daughters, Hannah and Lilly.
Oh, also, I am an avid Husker fan; football, basketball, volleyball, baseball, all things Nebraska, I cheer for. GO BIG RED!
Kris and I both grew up in Lincoln, NE, but Hastings has been our home since 1981. This is a great community that we have been blessed to raise our family in. We believe it is important to give back to the community as best we can, and in this regard I have served on number of non-profit boards, including our church, First United Methodist Church, and otherwise enjoy volunteering whenever I can for projects within our community.
